CLAUDIA MOURAD, ESQ.
Claudia Mourad joined Hershorin & Henry, LLP in 2010. Ms. Mourad has represented financial institutions, title companies, mortgage servicers, escrow companies, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and employers, with a focus on providing individualized attention to each client.
Ms. Mourad's experience includes real estate, business, and employment litigation in state and federal courts. In addition, Ms. Mourad has represented employers before the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board.
Since joining the firm, Ms. Mourad has prevailed on multiple motions for summary judgment that completely disposed of lawsuits without the need for trial, and has obtained favorable outcomes in an efficient and cost-effective manner through dedication and determination.
In addition, Ms. Mourad has provided mandatory sexual harassment training to supervisors in order to provide the necessary tools to foster a productive workplace and prevent litigation, and has conducted investigations on various workplace complaints, including sexual harassment and discrimination.
Ms. Mourad began her legal career in 2001 as a corporate transactional attorney with an emphasis on securities transactions.
From 2002-2007, Ms. Mourad was an associate attorney at Hal W. Wolowski and Associates, APC, in Irvine. She specialized in employment and real estate transactional and litigation matters.
Between 2007-2010, Ms. Mourad was a litigation associate at Oswald & Yap, LLP, in Irvine. She handled real estate, business, intellectual property, and employment litigation in state and federal courts.
Ms. Mourad received a LLM. (Master of Laws) in Business and Corporate Law from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2001. Ms. Mourad received her Juris Doctorate from Whittier College School of Law in 2000, graduating in the top 15% of her class. While at Whittier, Ms. Mourad was a member of the Whittier Law Review, and received a Dean's Merit Scholarship and The Frank M. Doyle Scholarship. Ms. Mourad also received the CALI Excellence Award for Pretrial Litigation Skills, and the American Jurisprudence Award for Professional Responsibility. During law school, Ms. Mourad served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Lawrence W. Crispo (Ret.) of the Los Angeles Superior Court. Ms. Mourad received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of California, Irvine in 1997.
Ms. Mourad is a member of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and U.S. District Court, Central District of California, and a member of the Professionals in Human Resources Association, and Society for Human Resource Management.firstname.lastname@example.org
