JEFFREY LEUNG, ESQ.
Jeffrey Leung, Esq. joined Hershorin & Henry, LLP in 2009. Mr. Leung has over 20 years of experience in the title industry and has handled claims that encompass myriads of complex title issues including many specialty claims involving bankruptcy, construction, criminal, family and probate law.
Most recently, Mr. Leung acted as Vice President and National Agency Counsel for LandAmerica Financial Group where he was responsible for managing the legal and business affairs for 150 national title agents throughout the United States. Mr. Leung not only assisted in managing the business relationships between title agents and state agency managers but also drafted agency and title re-insurance agreements and underwrote high liability residential and commercial transactions. Further, Mr. Leung’s served as a quality control agent for the company responsible for reviewing the administration of LandAmerica’s agency claims. Moreover, Mr. Leung also trained national and state title agents and developed several database and other technological systems to ease the administration of title claims.
In 2003, Mr. Leung joined New Century Title Company as Vice President and General Counsel. At New Century Title Mr. Leung was responsible for overseeing several divisions of the company including the title, escrow, 1031 exchange, legal and business affairs divisions. In addition to his supervisory role, Mr. Leung drafted and reviewed company contracts, provided guidance on the company’s underwriting and risk management systems, prepared and conducted title administration training programs, acted as the company’s regulatory compliance officer, oversaw the administration of title and escrow claims and supervised outside litigation on several title and escrow matters.
Mr. Leung received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University Long Beach. In 1989, Mr. Leung received a Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School. In his spare time, Mr. Leung acts as a guest lecturer at Southwestern Law School and volunteers as a moot court competition email@example.com
